M.CH (NEUROSURGERY)
Dr Yadhu is a Neurospine surgeon treating wide range of spinal conditions from pediatric to geriatric population practicing at ASTER RV hospital, Bangalore. He has been professionally and academically involved in minimally-invasive spinal surgery and published several scientific papers and articles and also has made presentations on the management of spinal disorders in academic circles. He has dedicated his career to the treatment of spinal disorders with lateral access surgery, minimally invasive and endoscopic spine surgery being his clinical area of interest.
He received his medical degree in 2009 and completed his residency in General surgery in 2013 from JJM medical college affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi university of health science, Bengaluru. In 2016, he completed his MCh training in neurosurgery from KLE university, Belagavi. After graduating from neurosurgery residency, he started his career at Aster CMI hospital as a general neurosurgeon for one year during which he developed keen interest towards spine surgery. In early days before he took spine surgery as a sub speciality he attended various courses and conferences related to spine disorders and its management. He’s also trained under pioneer spine surgeons in India and overseas, also has participated in several cadaveric hands on program over a period of time. He completed his Minimal invasive and endoscopic spine surgery fellowship from Seoul St Mary’s hospital, Catholic university of Korea, Seoul under the mentorship of Dr Jin Sung Kim, a pioneer in the field of Minimal invasive spine surgery. Minimalism in endoscopic surgery encouraged him to pursue further training in percutaneous endoscopic spinal surgery as an international visiting surgeon program at St Peter’s hospital, Seoul, Korea. After finishing his fellowship, he re-joined department of Neurosurgery at Aster CMI hospital, then he was deputed to Aster RV hospital and started exclusive Neurosurgical spine unit under guidance of Dr Umesh S, under whom he was working for 3 years before his oversea training. He is a member of several spine organisation like MISSAB, NASS and NSI.
With growing number of people suffering from spinal disorders his passion is towards understanding and identifying the origin of pain and treating them with compassion and care, and is intended in relieving pain and restoring function of patients. And finally, with recent development in technology his aim to integrate artificial intelligence in treating his patients and promoting efficient care.
